ALEXIS KORCHINSKI-warm and soulful…
Born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Alexis Korchinski is happy to call Saskatoon home again after some years of travel. Singing from an early age Alexis studied voice for twelve years and earned degrees in Music and Education from the University of Saskatchewan. During university Alexis sang with The Greystone Singers, often featured as a soloist and enjoyed touring to the Southern USA and Cuba as well as the prairie provinces.
In the early 2000’s Alexis was the lead singer of Recover, a Jazz/Blues cover band that toured around Saskatchewan until Alexis left for a year in London, England and then another year in Istanbul, Turkey. When she returned home Alexis performed at the Station Arts Centre in Rosthern, SK and at the Globe Theatre in Regina, SK.
Alexis sings with The Madrigrrrls, a female a cappella group and she has also been a featured vocalist in Trials by Fire I and II.
Alexis has just released her first single Tell Me Why recorded at Starlab Recording Studio that is available on CD Baby and iTunes. She plans to record her full album of original music this year to be released early summer 2011.
