How it works.
Planning an event creates a tremendous financial risk for the event organizers as they have to pay for performers, venue’s and promote their event before they collect a dollar from sales. Picatic’s crowdfunding feature helps event organizers and promoters discover if their event is going to be successful before they spend a single dollar. Promoters select a break-even price and only commit to putting on the event if enough tickets are sold by a break even day. If the event does not meet its target, anyone who has purchased a ticket is refunded in full and you won’t be charged a dime for an event that does not get crowdfunded.
Picatic’s crowdfunding feature allows you to create added incentives for early ticket buyers. Set a discounted price off your regular priced tickets – you set the amount. Include an added perk like a signed album at a concert or VIP access at a party. When the event gets funded, ticket prices go back to regular price and any added perks are removed.
Once your event is funded Picatic will continue to sell and issue tickets to your guests. Remember to promote your event by Email, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. Access sales reports and manage all aspects of your event online. Remember to use our iPhone app to scan tickets and speed up entry lines.

What happens if my event meets its target?
Your event will switch over to a regular event and you will continue to sell tickets at a regular price. See pricing ➡
What happens if my event doesn’t meet its target?
Everyone is refunded in full and you won’t be charged any service fees. We only charge you if your event continues. See pricing ➡
How much of a discount should I provide?
That amount is up to you. We recommend at least a 10% discount to provide an added incentive for your early adopters.
What should I set as my perk?
Anything you can think of that will provide added incentive for event attendees. If it’s a concert maybe free signed album or backstage pass. A tech conference might include a free t-shirt. Perks can be as big or as small as you want.
If my event doesn’t meet its target can I still run the event?
Yes, think of Picatic’s crowdfunding feature as a way to test attendee interest in your event. If you feel confident that the event will still sell tickets you can switch over to regular mode once your event has been crowdfunded.
What size of event is suitable for Picatic’s crowdfunding feature?
This feature is for any type of event where there is a gathering of people. We can handle anything from small gatherings to large conferences.
