Saskatchewan Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs (SYPE) is a group of young and energetic people, working together to promote business and opportunity in Saskatchewan to retain our most valuable resource - our youth. While the SYPE membership is open to all ages, the executive board members are 18-35.
Through our various events and advocacy programs, SYPE is fostering an environment to develop and encourage Saskatchewan youth businesses and professionals to realize what opportunities the province has to offer. As such, SYPE is building a network of dedicated youth who want to stay and prosper in Saskatchewan by starting a business or enhancing their professional skills. Youth who are connected with individuals and corporations in the province are more likely to stay in the province. With the purchase of SYPE a SYPE Annual Membership, you will receive first hand invitations to all SYPE events. Your membership entitles you to receive the discounted member admission price for all SYPE events. Membership also includes your listing and access to the SYPE e-network of Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs. By purchasing a SYPE membership, you allow SYPE to post your first name, last name and email address in the SYPE membership directory on www.sype.ca.
NOTE: Memberships are valid for one year and exprire one year from the date of purchase. WHY JOIN SYPE * Develop a network of business contacts, with other young professionals and entrepreneurs as well as with other more established members of the business community * Mentorship opportunities with business owners and leaders in the province * Promote our cities and province * Meet other individuals with an interest in business * Contribute to the community * Make new friends while having fun * Gain confidence in yourself * Participate in SYPE activities and activities of a number of other organizations with which SYPE partners and has affiliations with throughout the year * Access job opportunties MEMBERSHIP ADVANTAGES As a member you can post member events to our website, job postings and you can update your profile and you can view other member's profiles. SYPE will not send out 3rd party emails, as we do not want to SPAM our members. MEMBERSHIP & EVENT INVOICING When you purchase a membership with SYPE, you must assign one person to each membership. This is a SYPE provincial rule. For example: Individual - $40/year + GST Corporate 3 people - $115/year + GST Corporate 5 people - $175/year + GST Corporate 10 people - $300/year + GST The memberships are non-transferable to other people. They must be assigned to one person. You can purchase memberships at Saskatoon Online Membership. SYPE has 6 chapters in Saskatchewan: * Saskatoon * Regina * Sunrise - Weyburn, Carlyle, Estevan and surrounding area * Northwest - North Battleford, Battleford and surrounding area * Northcentral * Moose Jaw Southcentral When you purchase a SYPE membership, you have provincial access! Your SYPE membership is interchangeable between chapters. For 2009, our policies have changed that we will no longer be invoicing individuals or companies. All memberships and tickets to events must be purchased online or at the door in advance of the function. As the SYPE Executive is based on a volunteer network this is to eliminate financial discrepancies and ensure we are accountable to our membership.
